PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable addition of transmission source information to a page head and to speed up a transmission job of image data having transmission source information, in a communication apparatus such as a facsimile apparatus. SOLUTION: The transmission source data 5a is added to the head of a page of PDL (page-description language) data A received from a communication terminal of a transmission source connected via a network to generate transmission PDL data B, then the data B are rasterized, encoded, and transmitted by a facsimile.
