PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display with excellent display quality and its driving method. SOLUTION: This liquid crystal display is equipped with: a plurality of red pixels, green pixels and blue pixels provided in a matrix form over an image display region and a black display region; an image display driver applying image display driving voltage to the red, green and blue pixels provided in the image display region; and a black display driver applying black display driving voltage to the red, green and blue pixels provided in the black display region.
