PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display in which the quality of a displayed image is improved. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display is characterized by the fact that the display is provided with a plurality of display pixels which are arranged in a matrix, an image display driver which applies an image display driving voltage on the display pixels furnished in an image display region in a prescribed image display term, a black color display driver which applies a lower side black color driving voltage on display pixels furnished in a lower side black color display region in a lower side black color display term and applies an upper side black color driving voltage on display pixels furnished in an upper side black color display region in an upper side black color display term, the upper side black color display driving voltage includes a first driving level voltage for displaying from the first through the (N-M)-th black lines from the top, and a second driving level voltage for displaying from the (N-M+1)-th through the N-th black lines, and the second driving level voltage is smaller than the first driving level voltage.
