TUNNEL FOR BURYING RADIOACTIVE WASTE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tunnel 1 for burying the radioactive waste capable of storing the waste in the backmost area in the tunnel 1 safely without accommodating it in any shielded vessel. SOLUTION: The tunnel 1 is formed into an elongated configuration in which the radioactive waste is buried. At least at an inlet and in a middle part, the tunnel 1 is furnished with a plurality of shielding doors 2 to shield the radiation in such an arrangement as apart from one another and capable of being opened and closed.
