PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder feeder capable of changing the amount of fed powder. SOLUTION: This powder feeder is structured so that each of rotary disks 6 and 7 horizontally disposed one above the other in a vertical circular tube 4 is journalled to the same rotary shaft 10 whose rotating speed is changeable. Isochoric opening parts 11 and 12 are opened in the disks 6 and 7, respectively, at symmetrical positions on a same diametrical line. A powder accommodating chamber 14 is provided between the disks 6 and 7, the chamber 14 being isochorically demarcated by a plurality of projecting partition plates 13 erect standing so as to make sliding contact with the disk 7 and equally spaced circumferentially on a peripheral wall of the tube 4 so as to cause ends 13a to make sliding contact with the circumference of the shaft 10. Below the disk 7, an inclined plate 9 is provided continuously connected to a powder exhaust port 8 opened on the tube 4 side. Because of this, powder W from a hopper 2 is accumulated on the disk 6 and demarcated from the chamber 14 used for dispensing the powder W by fixed amounts. The amount of powder thrown down from the opening parts 11 into the chamber 14 is controlled by the rotating speed of the disk 6. Powder W in the chamber 14 is continuously thrown down from the opening part 12 in the disk 7 onto the inclined plate 9 and discharged from the exhaust port 8. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
