PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a temperature in a pan from being lowered even when newly putting food material into the pan, and to utilize a lid for many purposes. SOLUTION: By covering the pan 21 with the lid 1 with the food material S2 kept on the recess 6 of the lid 1, another food material S1 housed in the pan 21 is cooked with a sheathed wire heater 12. In this case, heat containing steam generated from the pan 21 is transmitted to the lid 1 to simultaneously warm the food material S2 in the recess 6. The food material S2 to be heated in the pan 21 next is placed on the recess 6 and kept warmed , and this food material S2 is put into the pan 21. Thus, inconvenience that the temperature in the pan 21 is lowered every time the new food material S2 is put into the pan 21 is eliminated to reduce time for cooking. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
