PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy-to-use jacket sheath attaching / detaching base stand for an endoscope capable of easily attaching a jacket sheath to a flexible insertion part without breaking the flexible insertion part, or the like, at this time. SOLUTION: This jacket sheath attaching / detaching base stand is provided with an operation part holding part 34 for holding an operation part whose lower end part is connected to the base end of the flexible insertion part 11 on the tilt so as to turn the lower end part obliquely downwards and an insertion part mounting table 31 arranged so as to roughly horizontally mount a part near the tip of the flexible insertion part 11 in the state of holding the operation part 15 by the operation part holding part 34.
