PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that the selection/setting of game characteristics of an assist time (AT) game is inorganic and is not interesting for a player. SOLUTION: In the game machine, a character picture showing a list of character patterns A, B and C corresponding to an AT set frequency lottery table is displayed in a liquid crystal display device 22. When the player selects a character image by operating numeric keys 23, a corresponding character flag is stored in a control RAM 84. After that, a costume picture showing a list of costume images D, E and F corresponding to an AT game number lottery table is displayed in the liquid crystal display device 22, and a costume design flag corresponding to the selected costume image is stored in the control RAM 84. Then, a completed pattern, in which the selected character image A, B or C and the selected costume image D, E or F are combined, is displayed in the liquid crystal display device 22.
