<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of eliminating insufficiency of cooling capacity and dehumidifying capacity. <P>SOLUTION: This air conditioner increases degree of throttling of opening of a nozzle 41 to increase refrigeration capacity of an evaporator 30 when at least one situation occurs among the situation when fog is generated on window glass due to change in vehicle environment, the situation when defog mode for blowing air conditioning air onto the window glass is selected by an occupant, and the situation when temperature detected by an evaporator sensor 73 rises and refrigeration capacity of the evaporator 30 is reduced to increase discharge capacity of a compressor 10.
