<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a workability in image formation based on a converging function by avoiding reading of a white original sheet and by enabling insertion of a white paper image in an arbitrary page. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging device includes a unit 106 for reading a plurality of sheets of original document fed from an ADF 101 and outputting it as image data, a convergence setting means (not shown) for converging a plurality of original sheet images on a single recording paper for image formation, an image memory 180 for storing the image data, an imaging unit 175 for forming acquired image data or the image data stored in the image memory 180 on the recording paper, and system controller 150 for controlling these components. The device also includes a means for setting previous insertion of a page of a white sheet image when the number of original sheets to be read by the reading unit 106 is smaller than the number of convergence images necessary in a convergence method set by the convergence setting means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
