<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device that generates necessary and sufficient torque for a smooth startup even if a load is increased at a low temperature, and is silent and capable of power saving at room temperature. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device is constituted by including a stepping motor that drives a mechanical constituent for recording paper transfer or the like. The device comprises a temperature sensor means arranged to the image forming device, a temperature detection means that detects an actual temperature based on the sensor result outputted from the temperature sensor means, a drive means for driving the stepping motor, and a drive control means for controlling the drive means. In the image forming device, the drive control means switches the exciting system of the stepping motor in accordance with the detection result outputted by the temperature detection means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
