KNEE AIRBAG DEVICE

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knee airbag device reducing an imaginary distance between an instrument panel lower part and a knee panel increasing reaction by a knee panel during deployment of a knee airbag and thus increasing force for restricting the knee of an occupant.

SOLUTION: The knee airbag device 10 attached to a seat 11 of a vehicle includes a knee airbag module 14 arranged inside ahead of the instrument panel lower part 13 and a knee panel 15 arranged along an inside of a deployed area of the knee airbag of the instrument panel lower part 13 above the new airbag module 14. The inner part of the instrument panel lower part 13 is provided with a rib 17 protruding toward the knee panel 15 to reduce the imaginary distance d between itself and the knee panel 15.
