PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a spot-free toner image even on a sheet with large heat capacity like thick paper and OHT.

SOLUTION: A printer 51 is equipped with a fixing roller couple 145 which heat and carry a sheet to fix an unfixed toner image transferred to a sheet and a fixing and carrying roller couple 243 which clamp and carry the sheet where the toner image is fixed by the fixing roller couple, and the length L1 of a continuous fixing and paper discharging opposite roller 242 of the fixing and carrying roller couple 243 is made longer than the maximum width W of a toner image formation surface.
