<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic control device for an automatic transmission for a vehicle capable of favorably restricting undershooting of engine rotation speed or speed change shock caused by that even when engine output torque fluctuation factors are generated in power-off upshifting. <P>SOLUTION: When it is determined that prescribed control for upshifting is started as an accelerator pedal 50 is not operated by a power-off upshifting control start determining means 102, in a case where it is determined that such factors as to fluctuate input torque T<SB>IN</SB>in the automatic transmission 14 are generated by an input torque fluctuation factor generation determining means 104, engagement pressure of a prescribed hydraulic friction engagement device is corrected by correction quantity in accordance with the factors to fluctuate the input torque T<SB>IN</SB>by a hydraulic pressure correction control means 114.
