CHANNEL SWITCHING METHOD AND CHANNEL SWITCHING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a channel switching apparatus for freely controlling the flow of liquid in a channel having branches.

SOLUTION: The channel switching apparatus has four channels 1-4 allowing fluid that have resistance heating elements 6-9 at a pressure generation section for generating pressure to flow and a branch chamber 20 that is connected to the four channels 1-4 and has a resistance heating element 21 for generating pressure, thus switching the channel to allow liquid to flow. The channel switching apparatus comprises: a means for simultaneously driving the resistance heating elements 6-8 in the three channels 1-3 selected from the four channels; a means for driving the resistance heating element 21 in the branch chamber 20 in fixed time after driving the pressure generation section of the three channels; and a means for driving the pressure generation section 9 in the remaining one channel 4 in fixed time after driving the pressure generation section 9 in the branch chamber.
