PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor laser module with high junction strength between a seat and an electronic cooling element and with low possibility of generating a tracking error. SOLUTION: There are provided an optical fiber 8, a semiconductor laser 5 for irradiating an input end 11 of the optical fiber 8 with laser beams, the seat 6 mounting the optical fiber 8 and the semiconductor laser 5, and the electronic cooling element 4 for bearing the seat 6. 20 to 80 % of an area of a base in the seat 6 is in contact with the electronic cooling element 4.
