PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor which easily embeds separate additional information such as copyright information and security information in image data. SOLUTION: The image processor is provided with a means 1 for separating input image data to create separated data planes according to a specified coding process, a means 2 for creating separation information for showing which separation regions contain the input image data in each separation data plane, and a means 3 for writing specified additional information in regions of the separation data plane which contain no images of the input image data, based on the separation information.
