PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a recording speed from being lowered by preventing a white stripe from occurring, the white stripe being extended in a relative moving direction on a recording medium. SOLUTION: This inkjet recorder comprises an inkjet head, a reference pulse generating circuit, and a switch circuit. The reference pulse generating circuit generates in a predetermined cycle a first reference pulse P4a to be a source for generating a driving pulse. A preliminary pulse P1 is adapted to vibrate a meniscus of ink at a tip portion of a nozzle. An ejection pulse P2 is adapted to eject an ink drop. The switch circuit selectively inputs the preliminary pulse P1 and the ejection pulse P2 generated by the reference pulse generating circuit to each piezoelectric actuator. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
