PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To resolve problems incapable of getting sufficient performances in autotransplantation of a tooth after cryopreservation, due to the dropping off the transplanted tooth dropped off in two to five years after transplantation, even with a long-term preservation of tooth owing to cryopreservation becomes possible. SOLUTION: Using a part or all of the periodontal ligament and the cementum damaged during extraction, which is the tooth extracted from a living body of human or an animal having the periodontal ligament and the cementum, the periodontal ligament, the alveolar bone and the cementum are regenerated in a culture solution until the periodontal ligament is brought into a state which can be transplanted to the human or the animal by making the entire circumference of the root be covered with the ligament. The alveolar bone is formed with an absorbable artificial bone, and by inserting the junctional epithelium and the periodontal ligament, a formed artificial tooth is obtained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
