PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing bank producing effects on use development of pieces of timber from thinning for promoting forestry maintenance, development of seaweed beds and fishing banks in a coastal shallow sea by the forestry maintenance and further a series of environmental improvements and security of fishery resources related to effective utilization, etc., of glass waste materials. SOLUTION: Pieces of timber 9 with bark from the thinning are fixed with concrete 11 composed of low-alkali cement comprising foamed glass aggregates prepared from a glass waste material composed of crushed glass bottles, etc. The resultant bed for promoting the raising of seaweed is arranged in a frame body 2 made of uncoated steel. A plurality of the prepared fishing banks are produced and sunk in the shallow sea. Thereby, countermeasures for global warming connecting the forestry to the fishery are taken to realize the environmental improvements and marine farms. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
