<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently record a medication history book. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU 101 specifies and authenticates a prescriptionist by comparing handwritten medication history book image data with the image 162b for specification of personal specifying image data 162 upon inputting the handwritten medication history book image data to a handwriting input device 111 in medication history book recording processing. Upon authenticating the prescriptionist, the medication history book image data is stored on a medication history book data memory 121; a sealing image and a signature image corresponding to the authenticated prescrtiptionist is read from a personal authentication memory 161; and the sealing image and the signature image are corresponded to the medication history book image data for storing on the medication history book image data memory 121. Now, character recognition is applied to the medication history book image data by referring to the image data 121b of the medication history book data memory 121 to transform the medication history book data into character data.
