The machine (1) has a continuously-variable transmission system with a drive side belt pulley connected to a crankshaft (2). The drive side pulley has a fixed component (111) on the crankshaft and a moving component (112) that can slide axially along it under the effect of centrifugal force produced by the shaft. The mobile pulley component has a magnet (18) round its outer surface, set opposite a stator (19) comprising a magnetic pole (191) and windings (193).
