The electrical switch comprises a rotary contact carrier (33) and a sliding contact carrier (13) operated by the same control rod (2, 10). The switch thus provides dual electrical functions within a small overall volume. The electrical switch comprises a rotary contact carrier (33) co-operating with electric tracks formed on one surface of a transverse circuit board (4). It also includes a sliding contact carrier (13), with the two contact carriers being linked to the same control rod (2, 10). The sliding contact carrier is a pivoting element (13) with two arms, each having a contact (18) and mounted on the ball-and-socket joint on the end of the control rod (2,10). The pivoting element (13) is displaced in translation between three positions in which it establishes respectively no contact, one contact or two contacts.
