<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus and method, and a program capable of widely exchanging data. <P>SOLUTION: The information processing apparatus extracts data corresponding to one page of a virtual album from album data for displaying the virtual album, attaches an ID to each page whereby the sequence of the respective pages can be identified, and compresses the data of each page by the JPEG system. On the other hand, data to express turned over pages in a way of animation every time each page is turned over are generated as data of the Flash system. A Flash file wherein data compressed by the JPEG system and the data of the Flash system are integrated is generated.
