<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure security in a network monitoring system, in which a plurality of the persons concerned, including customers coordinate with each other to solve problems. <P>SOLUTION: A monitor manager program transmits a tentative password to an individual maintenance operator, when a failure occurs. The individual maintenance operator can obtain not only the operation monitoring data and performance monitoring data of parts which he manages, and monitors by himself but also the operation monitoring data and performance monitoring data of parts which other individual maintenance operators manage and monitor. When the analysis of the failure and a restoration operation are finished, the monitor manager program changes the tentative password of the individual maintenance operator to a normal password, or makes the password invalid. By this, the individual maintenance operator cannot obtain the operation monitoring data and performance monitoring data of the system as a whole. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
