<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document processing method capable of reflecting the latest information on a document conforming to update of a database even when the document is prepared by quoting from a database, and to provided a device and a program for the same. <P>SOLUTION: This document processing device obtains a document from a server or the like, obtains the position information showing a storage place of the document, and imparts the position information to the document. When the document consists of a plurality of pages, the position information for each of pages is imparted to each of pages of the document, and pages to be edited as the document are extracted, and the pages of the document are edited as the document. When displaying the document, the document processing device inquires a server or the like whether a data source of each of the pages is updated or not based on the position information imparted to each of the pages of the document.
