LIGHT GUIDE SUBSTRATE PROVIDED WITH OPTICAL PATH CONVERSION PART AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING LIGHT GUIDE SUBSTRATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the degree of freedom of optical path conversion and to simplify the manufacturing processes of a light guide substrate.

SOLUTION: A mold 10 for forming a recessed part 12 of a prescribed shape is prepared (step S100) and the inside of the recessed part 12 is charged with a material to form an inclined surface chip 14 (step S110). Separately from the chip 14, a supporting substrate 20 is prepared (step S120) and a packaging pad 16 is formed on a prescribed position on the surface of the supporting substrate 20 (step S130). Then the mold 10 having the recessed part 10 in which the inclined surface chip 14 is formed is mounted on the substrate 20 and the chip 14 is fixed on the substrate 20 by the packaging pad 16 (step S140). Then a light guide is formed (step S150) and an optical element is packaged (step S160) to complete the light guide substrate.
