摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high power factor switching regulator capable of reducing the number of parts used by applying the output of an IC performing PWM to a boosting chopper circuit and only adding an LC resonance circuit without using a power factor improving IC. SOLUTION: In this high power factor switching regulator which is switched by passing an AC power input through a rectification circuit and receiving the output of the PWM control IC for high efficiency, there are separately added an inductance element L3 and a diode D5 constituting a main circuit of the boosting chopper circuit for improving high power factor, and a switching device Q3 receiving the output of the PWM control IC as well as the LC resonance circuit constituted of the resonance coil L3 and a step-up capacitor C3, thus obtaining the high power factor switching regulator for improving the power factor.
