PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for recycling a recording medium by which a recording material can easily be peeled off without requiring very high dimentional precision of designing and assembling parts. SOLUTION: The regenerating device 10 is equipped with: rollers 20 and 22 which convey a sheet type recording medium 60; a peeling unit 30 which fixes a blade 32 to be in contact with the recording surface 60a of the conveyed recording medium 60; and a pressing unit 50 which presses the conveyed recording medium 60 against the blade 32. Then the recording material K on the recording surface 60a of the recording medium 60 is peeled off by the blade 32. If the fitting position of the blade 32 is not accurate in this constitution, the recording material K may be peeled off incompletely, but this reproducing device 10 can effectively peel the recording material K by the peeling unit 30 since the projection quantity of the blade 32 is optionally adjusted by rotating an adjusting screw 40 while a fixing screw 38 is slightly unclamped.
