PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope system which prevents interference of a transmission member. SOLUTION: The endoscope system 1 has a thin and long flexible portion 4e, a coil sheath 29 which is inserted into the flexible section 4e, and a bending wire 29a which is inserted into the coil sheath 29. The flexible section 4e is formed with a bending surface section 32 to prevent the curvature angle of a bending section from decreasing due to an increase in frictional force between the sheath 29 and the bending wire 29a when the bending sction 4a2 is bent.
