PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cave excavator capable of simply excavating a cave at a low cost and safely carrying out the work. SOLUTION: The cave excavator 1 for excavating a cave by a water jet conveyed from a supply source 2 is provided on a side wall 10a of a well 10 excavated in the vertical direction. The cave excavator includes a pressure resistant hose 3 having one end connected to the supply source and providing a jet nozzle 3a on the other end, a feeding pipe 4 storing the pressure resistant hole and feeding into the horizontal hole in parallel with the excavation by the water jet and a guide pipe 5 directing the feeding pipe to be fed and leading the horizontal hole to a position to be excavated. The jet nozzle 3a excavates the cave by the water jet for jetting forward, and an excavated soil produced by excavation is discharged to the outside of the well through the inside of the feeding pipe together with water by the water jet reversely jetted backward.
