PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silane-based coating composition containing metal fine particles and/or metal oxide fine particles, having good dispersibility even when the particles are contained in high concentration, and capable of giving a coat having high transparency. SOLUTION: This coating composition contains (a) the metal fine particles and/or the metal oxide fine particles, (b) a titanium compound of specified structure and/or (d) an organosiloxane oligomer of specified structure, and (c) a silane compound of specified structure.
