PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine tool which remarkably suppresses thermal displacement due to a difference of environmental temperatures at a low cost. SOLUTION: In this machine tool, the surrounding of a machine main body 10 is covered with a cover 100. The cover 100 has a double structure of an inside cover 101 and an outside cover 102 and has a ventilation fan 103 between the covers 100 to replace air between the inside cover 101 and the outside cover 102 with air at the outside of the outside cover 102 and a ventilation fan 104 for the inside of the covers 100 to replace air at the inside of the inside cover 101 with air at the outside of the outside cover 102. As a result, the machine main body 10 is hardly affected by a change of the environmental temperatures at the outside of the cover 100. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
