<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner in which the generation of noise is inhibited. <P>SOLUTION: An air cleaner is provided with a casing 1 having a vertically lengthy shape; a ventilation duct 4 formed in the casing 1; a filter 12 disposed in the ventilation duct 4 and cleaning the passing air; and an air fan 6 disposed in the ventilation duct 4. The ventilation duct 4 includes a first route 4a for communicating a first suction port 2a positioned at a front and upper surface of the casing 1 with a blowing out port 3a positioned at an upper and front position of the casing 1; and a second route 4b for communicating a second suction port 2b positioned at a front and lower surface of the casing 1 with a second blowing out port 3b positioned at an upper and front position of the casing 1. First and second air fans 6a, 6b are installed on the first and second routes 4a, 4b respectively.
