<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the image of a high image quality and to obtain the excellent separating performance of a body to be transferred in the image forming apparatus where a developing device using two-component developer is used is adopted. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with a toner concentration detecting device 10 to detect toner concentration in the developing device 2 and a developing bias controller 11 to control developing bias so that the absolute value of a difference between potential at the texture part of the photoreceptor body 1 of top end of an image area and that of a developing sleeve 2a is set smaller than the absolute value of a difference between the potential of the texture part of the photoreceptor 1 in another image area and that of the developing sleeve 2a on the basis of the detected result of the toner concentration detecting device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
