<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide communication terminal equipment in which audio signals or video signals are continuously reproduced without occurrence of overflow or underflow in a receiving side buffer even in the network environment that fluctuation occurs in packet transmission delay. <P>SOLUTION: On the transmitting side, transmitting time information is produced by using a transmitting clock synchronized with an encoding clock, packetized together with audio or video encoded data and sent to a network and on the receiving side, the transmitting information and the encoded data are extracted by disassembling the received packet and stored into a fluctuation absorption buffer 108, and the stored encoded data are decoded according to a read reference time based upon the transmitting time information and a reference time and further, a relative delay fluctuation time that the received packet receives is calculated based upon the transmitting time information and the reference time, the reference time is adjusted in accordance with a value which smoothes the relative delay fluctuation time to each of received packets. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
