FOAM AND ITS PRODUCTION PROCESS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foam with low compression set and low compression deflection, and a process for producing the foam from a thermoplastic vulcanized material.

SOLUTION: The foam material is produced by a process containing foaming of the thermoplastic vulcanized material wherein the thermoplastic vulcanized material is prepared by a process containing a dynamic vulcanization of a rubber in a mixture of about 15-95 wt.% and a thermoplastic component of about 5-85 wt.%, and contains about 65-90 wt.% of a conventional thermoplastic resin and about 10-35 wt.% of a random propylene copolymer in the total weight of the thermoplastic components.
