PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synthetic quartz glass fiber, yarn and cloth which are used for multilayer printed wiring boards, especially for ultra-high-frequency circuits of over 1GHz, by solving the problems concerning the processibility of a quartz glass fiber and the thread and cloth prepared using the fiber. SOLUTION: The synthetic quartz glass fiber is used for a multilayer printed wiring board used at a high frequency of≥1GHz and has a diameter ofϕ3μm-ϕ9μm and a virtual temperature of 1,200-1,600°C.
