摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a characteristic measuring instrument for measuring the characteristic of a single planar circuit type optical element having no optical fiber for optical input/output by using a stage with a relatively narrow movable range and high position control accuracy. SOLUTION: The light emitted from an outgoing end of an optical element reaches an imaging apparatus from a notched part 21 of an optical fiber holding mechanism 5A without largely moving a movable stage to hold the optical fiber holding mechanism 5A in a fixed manner when adjusting the relative position of the optical fiber of an incoming system to the optical element to be measured by using the optical fiber holding mechanism 5A of the outgoing system having the notched part formed by a base member 22 and an arm 23 with the length in a direction orthogonal the optical fiber 3 reduced.
