PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balancer device for an engine improving problems such as increase in a loss horsepower, early deterioration of lubricating oil, complication of an engine internal structure and restriction of freedom degree of a layout. SOLUTION: This balancer device 41 for the engine 1 rotates a balancer shaft 42 disposed parallel to a crankshaft 13 according to the rotation of the crankshaft 13 to suppress the vibration of the engine. The balancer shaft 42 is disposed outside the engine, a cover covering the balancer shaft 42 is provided, and a balancer shaft driving mechanism transmitting the rotation of the crankshaft 13 to the balancer shaft is provided.
