PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide high strength ductile cast iron which has high strength and high wear resistance and is reduced in production cost. SOLUTION: The high strength ductile cast iron is obtained by pouring the molten metal of ductile cast iron having components comprising, by weight, 3.0 to 4.0% C, 1.6 to 3.3% Si, 0.2 to 1.0% Mn, 0.5 to 2.0% Ni, 0.2 to 1.5% Mo, 1.0 to 3.0% Cu, 0.03 to 0.08% Cr, 0.03 to 0.08% Mg and 0.03 to 0.2% V, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities into a mold, and thereafter performing natural air cooling so as to be a base structure consisting of pearlite or pearlite and bainite.
