PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for tire excellent in balance of a reinforcing property and LRR (low rolling resistance) performance. SOLUTION: The rubber composition for tires comprises carbon black having 30-70 m<SP>2</SP>/g nitrogen-adsorbing specific surface area,≥134 cm<SP>3</SP>/100g dibutyl phthalate oil absorption amount and 20-50 mg/g iodine adsorption amount. In a pneumatic tire, at least one tire component selected from a group consisting of carcass, insulation, side wall, clinch apex and belt cushion is composed of the rubber composition.
