PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for synthesizing a phosphate group-type scavenger by a graft polymerization method in which useful metals are effectively adsorbed and collected. SOLUTION: The method for synthesizing the phosphate group-type scavenger comprises a step in which a polymeric substrate is graft polymerized with a reactive monomer having a mono-or bi-functional phosphate group, wherein the introduction of the phosphate group is carried out in a one-step process.
