PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminated resin substrate formed of an inorganic material layer closely adhering to the resin substrate, a method for manufacturing the laminated resin substrate, and an organic EL element using the laminated resin substrate. SOLUTION: The laminated resin substrate 10 has a layer 14 containing an inorganic material laminated on the resin substrate 12. The resin substrate 12 is formed using a polycarbonate resin, typically to the thickness of 100 to 2,000μm. The layer 14 containing the inorganic material is formed using oxidized silicon nitride and the polycarbonate resin, typically to the thickness of 100 to 500 nm, and has a part, adjacent to the resin substrate 12, composed substantially of the polycarbonate resin only on account of the composition distribution and structure continuously controlled in the thickness direction and on the other hand, a surface layer on the opposite side composed substantially of the oxidized silicon nitride only under the similar structure to the so-called functionally gradient material.
