PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a general classification and differentiation method of skin physiological characteristics of sensitive skin for important care to the sensitive skin. SOLUTION: In the classification method for the sensitive skin, by measuring parameters of (1) to (3) for a subject with sensitive skin, the sensitive skin is classified into three types: (1) an epidermis barrier function decline type in which the parameter of one of the horny layer moisture content, transepidermal water loss (TEWL) and multilayer peeling amount, which is the abnormal cornification amount of epidermis, of the skin is significant compared to non-sensitive skin in a statistic processing; (2) an inflammation type in which the parameter of epidermis thickness and/or papillae corii density by skin internal observation is significant compared to the non-sensitive skin in the statistic processing; and (3) a hyperesthesia type in which only the parameter of electrical stimulation susceptible and/or nerve growth factor (NGF) production is significant compared to the non-sensitive skin in the statistic processing.
