PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic irradiator which achieves a higher treating efficiency with a higher operability by eliminating the need for the preliminary preparations to be made up to irradiation with the ultrasonic waves. SOLUTION: An applicator 1 is provided with a 'closed type cooling system' for cooling an ultrasonic oscillator 1a. The closed type cooling system is constituted of a cooling medium circulation path 10 filled with a cooling medium C, a magnetic force pump P<SB>m</SB>for circulating the cooling medium C within the cooling medium circulation path 10, a heat exchanger 10a for transmitting the heat absorbed by the cooling medium C from the ultrasonic oscillator 1a to a radiation fin 22 installed on the body 2 of a HIFU (high intensity focused ultrasound) device, and the like. This can omit the work of cooling the cooling medium beforehand, storing the cooling medium into a cooling water storage server, setting a tube as the circulation path of the cooling medium on a peristaltic pump and removing the bubbles left inside while filling the tube and the applicator with the cooling medium conventionally.
