PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric reel for fishing in which good transmission efficiency of motor driving force is ensured while keeping sure waterproofness of a motor housed in a spool. SOLUTION: The electric reel for fishing is obtained by housing a spool motor winding and driving a spool rotatably supported between side plates of a reel body into a cylindrical housing body integrally formed in one side frame of the reel body in an axial direction of the spool and building the spool motor through the housing body into the spool. In the electric reel, an opening part of the housing body opened on the side opposite to the one side frame, in which a motor shaft of the spool motor is protruded, is covered with a sealing material and a space between the housing body and the motor shaft is occluded with the sealing member and a regulating body which comes into contact with the sealing material to prevent deformation and moving of the sealing material is attached.
