PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device each for producing sterile seaweed without foreign material getting mixed therein. SOLUTION: The method for producing sterile seaweed comprises the following processes: a process of cultivating sterile seaweed cut into a predetermined size in a cultivation tank filled with seawater and set in a solar dome letting the sunlight shine thereinto; a process of collecting the sterile seaweed cultivated to grow; a process of cutting the collected sterile seaweed into a predetermined size; and a process of feeding part of the cut sterile seaweed into the cultivation tank.
