PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a fishing rod by which a part guiding a fishing line can integrally be formed with the rod body according to a simple method. SOLUTION: The method comprises the following steps. A step of producing a cylindrical rod body from a fiber-reinforced resin, a step of applying a thermosetting resin to the peripheral surface of the rod body, a step of arranging a rod material on the thermosetting resin applied to the peripheral surface of the rod body, a step of further applying the thermosetting resin to the peripheral surface of the arranged rod body and forming a hilly part rising up the outward diametral direction of the rod body and a step of pulling out the rod body after curing of the thermosetting resin.
