PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector of which both connector housings are surely prevented from imperfect fitting. SOLUTION: A male housing 10 has a hood part 12 into which a female housing 20 is inserted and fitted. The hood part 12 comprises a locking hole into which a locking arm 24 locks from inside when housings 10, 20 are normally fitted to each other, and a bumping part 15 to which a locking protrusion 24 of the locking arm 22 can be bumped on the way of fitting. In a state that the locking protrusion 24 is bumped against the bumping part 15, the locking arm 24 is elastically deformed toward inside when a fitting force, exceeding a frictional resistance generated at the process in which the housings 10, 20 get to the state of normal fitting, is applied, and the housings 10, 20 are normally fitted by inertia. A part to be restricted 16 is formed in the hood 12, and a restriction part 25, capable of restricting the hood part 12 from deforming outward by engaging with the part to be restricted 16, is formed in the female housing 20.
